Digital Scholarship Winter School

The school aims to equip post-graduate and doctoral students in book history and literary studies with the concepts and methods needed to address research on new sources and media technologies. The school combines lectures on core methodological issues, from theory to practical application, with critical participation in the Text Affects conference through supported active discussion and reflection on exemplary research works.

At the end of the school, students will master:

  • Epistemological characteristics of physical, digitised and born-digital sources
  • Main tools for data acquisition and cleaning
  • Approaches for the analysis of digital reading and publishing
  • Critical interpretation enabled by data technologies and AI
