The DH_OU Study Day on the Future of Reading took place on 1 April 2025. The day included:
- presentations by Shafquat Towheed (OU) and Sally Blackburn-Daniels (Teesside) on Media Technologies and Reading Experiences
- a seminar by Dene Grigar (Washington State) and Mariusz Pisarski (Rzeszów) on The Challenges of Born-Digital Fiction
- presentations by Sam Brooker (University of the Arts, London) and Edmund King (OU) on Transmedia Reading
- a discussion by Alessio Antonini (OU) and Francesca Benatti (OU) on Machine Readers.
